This Era lasted for about 180 million years ago. There were many plate movements based on all the mountains and valley that were found during this time. Since there were so many movements under the Earth, volcano's were most likely to erupt. The weather during this was so warm that the poles had no ice and plants grew everywhere. The Mesozoic era is where we finally get to see the dinosaurs. There are many hypothesizes stating what destroyed life in the Mesozoic era, but the most known one is that a asteroid hit the earth and caused a huge explosion killing most life on Earth. The things that did survive were fish, reptiles, and cone-bearing plants unfortunately the dinosaurs died. The climate was hotter than ours today and there was little to no difference between summer and winter. Rain fall also increased which raised the water level.
